You can not live by faith and fear at the same time. One will inevitably supersede another. What are you walking in today?
Are you walking in fear of the unknown, fear of the future, fear of your greatness and the unlocked potential God has placed within you? Or, are you living in faith? Faith in God and who He says that you are? Are you living in faith in God’s Word and in faith that all of His promises are yes and amen? It’s time for you to believe again. It’s time for you to live again; Not haphazardly, but knowing fully convinced and persuaded who God is, what He will do for you, and that His word is true. It’s time to believe again and for you to live as you do.
Abraham is the father of faith. Why? Not because he hoped that God’s Word was true but because he believed that it was and responded to it. He lived liked he believed the word of God.
Like Jesus, Abraham’s life proved his faith in The Father.
Are you living in faith? Or are you going through life bound by fear, fear of making a mistake, fear of displeasing God, fear of upsetting others? God wants to remind you today that you can not live by faith (faith in Him, what He is going to do, and His Word) and by fear at the same time. You have to choose which one you will yield to and which one you will let govern you. Will you choose faith or fear?
2 Corinthians 5:7 encourages us to live by faith and not by sight. And I believe it does so because sometimes what you see can produce fear in your life. You have to choose to live by faith in spite of what you see and remember that God is in control of the seen and the unseen and that He would not call you to live a certain way if He did not plan on sustaining you.
Let today’s word be a reminder of the importance of living by faith and an encouragement to you to choose faith in God when fear arises so that you, like Abraham, can please God and receive all that he has for you!
May we commit to living by faith and not fear today and forevermore.
