Assuredly, I say to you, they have their reward. 6 But you, when you pray, go into your room, and when you have shut your door, pray to your Father who is in the secret place; and your Father who sees in secret will reward you [b]openly. 7 And when you pray, do not use vain repetitions as the heathen do. REMAINING IN GOD’S WORD
Which allows you to:
live according to His word
You know what He commands of you and you are able to follow suit when you remain in His Word.
and helps you keep the right heart posture
You are less likely to pray:
to be seen, to harbor unconfessed sin or unforgiveness in your heart pray selfishly or in doubt.
Remaining in the word really helps you pray according to His will for your life for you are abiding in Him and His words are abiding in you.
