It’s The Anointing

It’s the anointing that breaks yokes, sets the captives free, heals the sick, and awakens the dead. It’s the anointing that makes the difference. Not your long exasperated efforts. It’s the anointing.

Partner with the Holy Spirit and do what God has called you to do with His anointing.

It will empower you to go forth and do all that He has called you to do, with grace.

The Lord is wanting us to partner with the Holy Spirit. Because, there are some things that cannot be completed the way God wants them to be until we partner with Him and receive His anointing.

God doesn’t want us to just live by the letter but He wants us to allow Him to breathe on the Word He has spoken. He brings new life. He breaks chains. He sets the captives free.

He wants all we do to have that type of power, authority, and effect on others. But, in order for that to happen, we have to wait and receive and go forth the way He would like – with His Spirit and His anointing.

God is desiring to pour out His Spirit on sons and daughters but we have to be still enough and hungry enough to receive what He wants to give.

God has spoken a word pertaining to your destiny, and you will have to embrace His Spirit to get there.

Acts 1:4-8 NKJV

And being assembled together with them, He commanded them not to depart from Jerusalem, but to wait for the Promise of the Father, “which,” He said, “you have heard from Me; 5 for John truly baptized with water, but you shall be baptized with the Holy Spirit not many days from now.” 6 Therefore, when they had come together, they asked Him, saying, “Lord, will You at this time restore the kingdom to Israel?” 7 And He said to them, “It is not for you to know times or seasons which the Father has put in His own authority. 8 But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be [a]witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”

1 Samuel 16:1-13 NIV

The Lord said to Samuel, “How long will you mourn for Saul, since I have rejected him as king over Israel? Fill your horn with oil and be on your way; I am sending you to Jesse of Bethlehem. I have chosen one of his sons to be king.
2 But Samuel said, “How can I go? If Saul hears about it, he will kill me.”
The Lord said, “Take a heifer with you and say, ‘I have come to sacrifice to the Lord.’ 3 Invite Jesse to the sacrifice, and I will show you what to do. You are to anoint for me the one I indicate.”
4 Samuel did what the Lord said. When he arrived at Bethlehem, the elders of the town trembled when they met him. They asked, “Do you come in peace?”
5 Samuel replied, “Yes, in peace; I have come to sacrifice to the Lord. Consecrate yourselves and come to the sacrifice with me.” Then he consecrated Jesse and his sons and invited them to the sacrifice.
6 When they arrived, Samuel saw Eliab and thought, “Surely the Lord’s anointed stands here before the Lord.”
7 But the Lord said to Samuel, “Do not consider his appearance or his height, for I have rejected him. The Lord does not look at the things people look at. People look at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.”
8 Then Jesse called Abinadab and had him pass in front of Samuel. But Samuel said, “The Lord has not chosen this one either.” 9 Jesse then had Shammah pass by, but Samuel said, “Nor has the Lord chosen this one.” 10 Jesse had seven of his sons pass before Samuel, but Samuel said to him, “The Lord has not chosen these.” 11 So he asked Jesse, “Are these all the sons you have?”
“There is still the youngest,” Jesse answered. “He is tending the sheep.”
Samuel said, “Send for him; we will not sit down until he arrives.”
12 So he sent for him and had him brought in. He was glowing with health and had a fine appearance and handsome features.
Then the Lord said, “Rise and anoint him; this is the one.
13 So Samuel took the horn of oil and anointed him in the presence of his brothers, and from that day on the Spirit of the Lord came powerfully upon David. Samuel then went to Ramah.

The Lord told His disciples to wait until they received the Holy Spirit to do what they were commissioned to do because it would be then they would have the power to do it.
God spoke and ordained David to be king, but it wasn’t until he was anointed with oil that he could go forth and fulfill the word of The Lord.

It is the anointing that makes a difference.
It is the anointing that allows you to go forth and bring God’s Word to life.

It is the anointing that makes a difference.
It is when you receive the anointing that you are fully equipped and ready to do what God has called you to do.

Partner with the Holy Spirit, receive God’s anointing, and then go forth into the destiny that He has for you.

It’s the anointing and your partnership with Him that will empower you to do what He has called you to do and allow you to receive His results.

It’s the anointing that breaks the yokes, it’s the anointing that breaks the chains, it’s the anointing that sets the captives free, it’s the anointing that heals the sick and raises the dead.

It’s the anointing that we need.

And it’s the anointing that we will wait to receive before we go forth; so that we can be effective and fulfill God’s will, His desires, here on earth.

Are you in partnership with the Holy Spirit? Are you willing to wait on Him? Have you received God’s anointing? Or, are you moving forward in your own strength?

Partner with the Holy Spirit and remember, it’s the anointing that will empower you to do all that God desires.

*Isasiah 10:27 NKJV*

It shall come to pass in that day
That his burden will be taken away from your shoulder,
And his yoke from your neck,
And the yoke will be destroyed because of the anointing oil.

Lord, fall fresh on us again. Break yokes, set captives free, do what only YOU can do in us and through us. Let us embrace your Holy Spirit and help us to wait on Him for however long necessary. We know that we need You to do what You have ordained us to do. Fill us up. Overflow, until we can take no more. Fall afresh and fill us to the brim, and then fill us again. So that we can be empowered to do what you have commissioned us to do and have Your results. We need You and we are willing to wait. Thank you in advance for a fresh outpouring. We know that it is coming and we will be still and receive. We desire to go forth the way You would like. Have your way. Do what you would like and help us to be in tune in alignment with what You want to do. Help us to be in sync and one with your precious Holy Spirit.

In Jesus name, amen

With love,

Blog post extension: There is a difference between striving and simply struggling to do what God has called you to because of warfare, learning curve, etc. Discern the difference, know when you are striving and rest. God does not want you laboring in vain (Psalm 127: 1-5) but He wants you to rest with Him and be filled so that He can then send you out in power and authority to fulfill His will here on earth.
