FAITH & HOW TO INCREASE THE FAITH YOU HAVE.

Faith is the substance of things hoped for,

The evidence of things unseen.

Hebrews 11:1

You must have faith in order to receive anything in this world. Faith is the currency of Heaven. But prior to developing faith, you must first hope. A lot of times, however, people get stuck in the hoping phase. You must move past hoping to a place of faith, an unshakable belief that it is done.

Faith can be seen. It is evident. Your actions show what you believe in.

Move in faith.

Now we walk by faith and not by sight. 2 Corinthians 5:7

That means, things may look bleak, you may not be totally certain of where your steps may lead you by faith walks with an assurance that the next step is taken care of.

It’s time to take steps of faith. When you move by faith your natural eyes don’t always see or understand the next step or all the details involved, but faith is the substance of things hoped for; the evidence of things unseen. Activate your faith and believe God again.

Faith is an assurance in something hoped for. In other words, faith is one step beyond hope. When you have faith something is going to happen, you no longer wish or hope this thing is going to take place, you KNOW it is going to take place. You have an assurance. You have an underlying belief that it is already done.

God wants us to return to faith in Him, faith in His Word, faith that all He is and said is true.

Now how do we increase faith? Faith comes by hearing and hearing the word of God. Increase the time you spend hearing the word of God. Increase the time you spend listening to sermons, podcasts, the Bible App. Increase your time listening to The voice of God. The more time you spend listening to The Word – the more your faith will increase.

Now what are areas we should ensure we are continuously increasing our faith in?

  1. The Gospel of Jesus Christ
  2. The Character / Nature of God
  3. The Promises of God
  4. Personal Promises / Prophecies

This week I want to encourage you to find scripture pertaining each of these four areas…and watch your faith increase. (Faith comes by hearing, and hearing the word of God. Romans 10:17)

Sometimes people lack seeing promises of God and prophecies fulfilled because of the lack of The Word of God within them. They don’t have anything within them to anchor their hope on.

For example: If I received a Word that God wanted me to have a successful marriage one day, yet I had terrible relationships in the past, it would be terribly difficult for me to believe and receive the Word of The Lord if I didn’t have scripture to base the prophecy upon. I would have to renew my mind according to Ecclesiastes 4 and know that it is God’s will for me to have a healthy successful relationship.

Proverbs 23:7 says …as a man thinketh, so is he… That means, a renewed mind is essential to receive, be and do things that God intends for your life.

When we truly have faith in something it changes the way we operate, it changes the way we live.

  • If we had faith in the Gospel, it would change the way we lived. We would be appreciative of all Jesus has done and we would be anticipating His return.
  • If we had faith in the character / nature of God we would have a balanced view of The Lord and embrace His loving kind nature while also reverencing His Holy, righteous side.
  • If we had faith in all the promises seen throughout The Bible that apply to us because we are heirs of Christ and children of God we would live more hopeful, joyous, and abundantly.
  • If we had increased faith in the personal promises we received from The Lord, we would live in such a way to be in the best position for their fulfillment.

Faith is essential in our daily Christian life, which is why the enemy attacks it. The enemy doesn’t attack or care too much out our physical bodies or personal possession, he more so cares about our faith in God and will try to anything to frustrate you and get you to doubt Him, His Word, His Promises and His Ways.

Stay connected to The Vine, our Lord Jesus Christ and keep your faith in Him.

Remember this week:

Find scripture regarding

  1. The Gospel of Jesus Christ
  2. The Character / Nature of God
  3. The Promises of God
  4. Personal Promises / Prophecies to you

In order to increase your faith in these areas.

Faith it ‘til you make it.

See it before you receive it.

Believe it so you can be it.

FAITH is KEY.

Faith is the substance of things hoped for,

The evidence of things unseen.

Hebrews 11:1

  1. I been going through a lot lately, this article helped a lot in understanding how to keep on keeping on. Sometimes you pray for many different things but they don’t seem to turn out the way you would think would be Gods will so you start to doubt. I was greatly encouraged by your message and the daily devotional I read this morning. It basically said he hears me and knows what I need. Also, yesterday i was urged after prayer to write down his promises and my answered prayers and maybe those I think weren’t. Peace, love and blessings to you
