It has been a trying season. When you go through seasons of the testing of your faith, you will work for extended amounts of time without seeing results. It is in the wait when I see if you really believe Me and what I said. In seasons of the testing of your faith, you will also experience being ridiculed by others for doing what I said do. Obedience is not always understood by others, and it is not meant to be. Obedience is a reflection of your faith in Me. When you trust Me, you will do what I said, regardless of what others do, say and think, for an extended amount of time, even when you do not see results.
The testing of your faith is critical because that is the only way to prove that you are legitimate. Faith that has not been tested cannot be trusted.
God even tested My faith in the garden of Gethsemane. I had to endure for an extended amount of time without seeing results or hearing the Father’s voice, and continue to hold on to my faith in Him and His word to me. I had to believe that He would never leave me nor forsake me, that He would watch over his word to perform it, that He was not a man that He would lie, that He had to future and a hope for me; I had to hold on to my faith in Him when everything looked dark, when things looked contrary to what I wanted to see, when I was hurting and wanted to give up. The Father let My faith continue to be tested because He knew it was doing a good work in me. He knew it was giving me the endurance I needed to endure Calvary.
All things work together for the good of those who love The Lord, to those who are called according to His purpose. The testing of your faith allows you and The Father to see what you really believe. Will you hold on to your faith and believe Him and His word to you, in spite of what others say? Will you hold on to your faith in Him and His word to you for an extended amount of time without seeing any results?
Unlike the Israelites who missed seeing their promise because they refused to stop grumbling and complaining and trust The Lord, God says, if you move in faith with a good attitude you will see the promise and will be greeted with a land flowing with milk and honey. You will be greeted with a land that will meet your spiritual and physical desires. There is a set time to see the promise and you will if you carry on in faith. You will see the promise, the word come to pass, and it will not only bless you, it will bless others. (Noah).
– Be steadfast, and hold on to the promises of God, in spite of. Keep your faith in God, in spite of. Keep a ‘nevertheless’ in your spirit like Jesus did in Gethsemane while holding on to your faith in God. He will keep you, see you through and will be true to His word. So, we say cheers to James 1:2-8 knowing that the testing of our faith is doing a good work in us – equipping us, and because we know that we can ask for wisdom in the midst of our testing and He is faithful to give it to us, every time we ask.
James 1:2-8 Amplified Bible (AMP) 2 Consider it nothing but joy, my [a]brothers and sisters, whenever you fall into various trials. 3 Be assured that the (trying or) testing of your faith [through experience] produces endurance [leading to spiritual maturity, and inner peace]. 4 And let endurance have its perfect result and do a thorough work, so that you may be perfect and completely developed [in your faith], lacking in nothing. 5 If any of you lacks wisdom [to guide him through a decision or circumstance], he is to ask of [our benevolent] God, who gives to everyone generously and without rebuke or blame, and it will be given to him. 6 But he must ask [for wisdom] in faith, without doubting [God’s willingness to help], for the one who doubts is like a billowing surge of the sea that is blown about and tossed by the wind. 7 For such a person ought not to think or expect that he will receive anything [at all] from the Lord, 8 being a double-minded man, unstable and restless in all his ways [in everything he thinks, feels, or decides].
Praying you keep the faith and see that all the promises of God are yes and amen.
With lots of love,
